After the Bear

29 hours and 21 minutes. One pair of shoes, one pacer (but only for the last 3 miles) one hydration pack, one water bottle, two pair of socks, two shirts, two headlamps, two jackets, 200 calories at every aid station and a lot of sweat and dirt.


4, 3, 2, 1-

4 days filled with checklists and equipment gathering. Talking to other ultra athletes, making sure he has enough support crew. Stressing out about the bad air quality where we live because it makes it hard to breathe let alone go for a 30 mile training run.
